3.1: Identify plot, setting, and characters and beginning, middle, and end. 3.3: Recall, talk, and write about books read during the year.

ELD Standards Grade 1 - Beginning Level

(3.1) Listen to a story and respond orally by answering factual comprehension questions using one- or two-word responses. Draw pictures related to a work of literature identifying setting and characters. (3.3) Same as ELD (3.1).

Grade 1 – Early Intermediate Level

(3.1) Orally respond to stories by answering factual comprehension questions, sing simple sentences. Orally identify setting and characters using simple sentences and vocabulary. (3.3) Same as ELD (3.1).
